John Kirby
John
I am glad to hear that you have mostly resolved your problem. I am hoping now that you will be prepared co comment on the height and parking issue.
Kind regards Michael
I must repeat for your benefit - that I do not intend to check with Companies House in order to refute allegations of my financial involvement with any company connected with Pleaurama. I do not have investments in any company whatsoever- is that clear enough for you. My reason for making a fuss was about the fake £10 notes which have been circulating with the area and now that I know one of the participants I know the reason for the slander
John
Thanks as I have been writing to you about this for nearly a year and still haven't a clear idea of your position on the Plesurama development because of your failure to reply I have sent the following to the local paper.

I refer to your article about councillor John Kirby. Councillor Kirby came into my shop 2 weeks ago, under the mistaken impression that I had written the poem. Your readers may be wondering why he hasn’t applied to Companies House for a copy of the developer’s accounts and list of shareholders (this can be done by post or via the internet costs £5 and only takes a few minutes) in order to refute the allegations of his financial involvement in the company.
I had assumed that he had come to see me to answer some of the questions that I have been putting to him and other members of the council over the last year relating to the old Pleasurama site development. I find it incredible that while he is prepared to make all this effort over a poem criticising him, he is still unwilling to explain aspects of the development that defy ordinary common sense.
What sort of reflection is it on our town , when an ordinary person interested in the town asks a council representative what is going on and the reply comes “I won’t discuss this with you!”?
Because of a discrepancy between two planning documents of 3.4 Meters that was unopposed by the planning department, the new Pleasurama building, instead of as described in the planning and design statement (as being concealed discreetly below the cliff top), will now tower 11 feet above it.
The retail part of the building (about the size of Tescos) is served by only 10 parking places shared with the hotel guests while the whole development involves the removal of the main car park in the area.
After considerable investigation it emerges that a foreign company of convenience has been formed to hide all the beneficiaries, receipts in excess of £60 million are expected from the project.
A cabinet meeting is to be held very soon 10/12/04 to finalise these arrangements
I have all the correspondence between me and members of the council, relating to this issue, should you want copies.
Kind regards Michael Child.

I have only just returned from a trip to Yorkshire to see my family. My position has been made clear to you, and stands as per my previous E Mail . John Kirby
Dear John Kirby
As it is my intention to publish all the replies on the internet this weekend, to show councillors positions on the Pleasurama site I am contacting you again.
You should understand that although I may disagree with your views on occasions it is not my intention to make you look stupid.
Please at the very least correct the typing errors. Preferably adjust it so that people can understand it who haven't read the unsolicited correspondence.
Kind regards Michael Child.

Due to legal considerations I do not intend to respond personally to any
further individual E mails or letters from members of the public regarding
questions doncerning the Pleasurama site. As you probably kn ow I have been
the victim of unsolicited correspondence which could be considered libelous
during the past week. I am therefore taking legal advice on the anonymous
correspondence and therefore wil lnot be corresponding with anyone apart
from my legal advisor until the matter is sorted out and the Police have
completed their investigations. John Kirby
